NXP, Freescale complete merger, launch the ‘new NXP’

Freescle and NXP has completed its merging that was announced in March 2015. This merger was to create a semiconductor company so as to combine both the revenues that was more than $10 billion and it will be the fourth largest non memory semiconductor company now. According to Rick Clemmer who is the NXP’s CEO has said” We have eventually created the company to powerhouse the growth opportunities in the smart world that will be emerging as an opportunity that will accelerate the demand of the connectivity hence forth.

This is been called as the new NXP will basically hold five business units  related to the  security and connectivity; automotive; RF; standard products; and digital networking. Steve Owen, executive VP of global sales and marketing, further to note is that it is an exciting time for us to bring the deals together aas by two smart semiconductor companies to take new innovative steps.
