A new invention has been done in the field of terahertz imaging by Airbus group innovations and some of its other partners ,this will be offering great potentials to the areas under observations , in the field of medical imaging , industrial automation well as security. This was done under a European union project in the area of space organisation called TeraTOP that has developed a camera that would be delivering a high accuracy by the use of terahertz waves.
When this technology will be used in security purpose than it will deliver a higher resolution images , But while the use of other parts of the electromagnetic spectrum – from X-rays to millimetre waves – the terahertz frequency remains mostly underutilised despite decades of research. This new camera is basically based on a technology that is having a higher potential at low cost and will be ensuring future production and application of the tetrahertz waves applications.
