Researchers have recently demonstrated that how a very thin and light weighted cell is used to work on a top cell and make bubble without popping out it. This was done by MIT researchers that claims that it is the world’s thinnest and lightest solar cell ever seen and made . This discovery would be immensely useful in future devices where solar cells will be used in portable electronic devices.
A per the team their main approach was to make the solar cell that is having a protective layer for the environment . This substrate that would be made it never needs to be handled or cleansed as it will minimize the exposure to teh dust or other things that could render the solar cells performance. Professor Vladimir Bulovic, MIT’s associate dean for innovation, said: “The innovative step is the realisation that you can grow the substrate at the same time as you grow the device.”
