Sony has announced the development of “Project Morpheus ”  which is a virtual reality (VR) system, this would be taking PlayStation PS4 systems to the next generation level of future gaming.

Sony Computer Entertainment is viewing an innovative approach to push the boundaries of gaming more further. ” This project morpheus is the latest example of innovation from SCE, and this will be continued under development kits to get hands on the content creators” said Shuhei Yoshida, President of SCE Worldwide Studios.

Morpheus allows developers to create a platform where the driver can sense the presence physically inside the virtual gaming system. This experience will be like a window to the world that will encompass gaming in it. And will be delivering a unique VR experience to the gamers right before their eyes. The sensors placed into the mount head unit of the play station camera tracks the orientation and movement so accurately as the player’s head rotates and so does the virtual world in real time.Furthermore, in supporting games, the player can use a PlayStation Move  Motion Controller as an object, such as a sword. it will be reproducing player’s hand and sword to make him feel as a real world fighter. Morpheus makes vast steps to achieve futuristic goal by using 3D  technology it can recreate sounds heard from below and above the players, such as footsteps climbing up stairs below them, or engine noises of helicopters flying overhead.
