From December 1 through 9, 2018 the Essen Motor Show will once again be the meeting place for tuners, sports car fans, motor sports enthusiasts and classic car aficionados. As a high-tech company, Osram is this year showcasing various ways in which vehicles can be upgraded to state-of-the-art lighting.

LEDriving Editions: the first complete retrofit headlamps based on LEDs

The new Osram LEDriving headlamps replace halogen and xenon lights with state-ofthe-art LED technology and offer greater output than the original headlamps. Low-beam, high-beam, daytime running lights, position lights and turn indicators are all combined in a complete LED retrofit headlamp. The first to become available is the LED headlamp for the VW Golf VII. This headlamp was recently named the winner of the Automechanika Innovation Award 2018. One of the highlights awaiting visitors to the Essen Motor Show is the new LED turn indicator for the side mirrors of the VW Golf VII in combination with the full LED headlamp on the VW Golf VII show car. Osram is also presenting a xenon and LED upgrade for Ford Focus III headlamps, various design studies for other models such as the Ford Amarok and the BMW 1 Series, as well as the first rear light clusters for the VW Polo, VW Golf VI, BMW 1 Series and Ford Fiesta.

Osram LEDriving work lights and additional headlights

LEDriving work lights and additional headlights are new additions to the Osram portfolio. Visitors to the Essen Motor Show can see for themselves how they provide additional illumination for large areas, with users benefiting above all from high light output and better visibility thanks to the daylight effect. The extremely robust polycarbonate lenses can withstand even heavy loads. Three product lines are available for 12 and 24 V www.osram.de 2/4 systems. The versions differ in terms of output, shape and beam angle, with different profiles such as Spot, Wide and Combo

Upgrade for car lights: new Night Breaker family

Thanks to a technical upgrade to the Night Breaker performance lamps, their light output has been significantly increased. The above-average brightness of these high-output lamps means that the road ahead is much better illuminated so drivers have more time to see and avoid dangerous situations, obstacles and other road users. With up to 150 percent more brightness than the legal minimum requirements, the Xenarc Night Breaker Laser is the top performer in the Osram xenon portfolio
