The AAEON UP Squared AI Vision X Developer Kit, available from Mouser Electronics, contains a VESA-mountable UP Squared edge computer, 1920 x 1080p EverFocus USB camera, and OpenVINO toolkit R5. The UP Squared computer is based on an Intel Atom® X7-E3950 processor and includes an Ubuntu image, 8 GBytes of memory, and 64 GBytes eMMC.
The kit is available with the AAEON UP AI Core X, the first mPCIe module to feature the Intel Movidius Myriad X vision processing unit (VPU). The low-power, high-performance Myriad X VPU is capable of a wide range of AI applications, from controlling drones to performing industrial inspections. The VPU can process speeds up to 105 fps (80 typical) and one trillion operations per second as a dedicated neural network accelerator. The Myriad X VPU is compatible with the OpenVINO toolkit, making it easy to setup and run AI inference software.
