The added locking feature on the connector ensures locking tabs remain in the retention cavity, providing added retention for rugged environments. The locking FPC connector does not require tooling, simplifying installation and lower overall cost.

Locking feature provides high retention force and helps prevent accidental unmating. Robust actuator design provides greater mating retention helps prevent breakage during assembly.  Front-flip actuator allows the operator to ensure that the FPC cable is inserted correctly. ZIF design allows for increased mating cycles with less wear on the contacts. No tooling required to mate and unmate provides cost savings.
