TE Connectivity (TE) introduces its new BATTU dual wall heat shrink tubing product line. This new flame-retardant, adhesive-lined tubing product was specifically designed for power cable to terminal applications in harsh environments. BATTU tubing is made from a polyolefin jacket with a thermoplastic adhesive inner wall and provides excellent electrical isolation, mechanical protection and moisture-resistance.  This semi-rigid tubing offers additional strain relief to the crimp area and it withstands operating temperatures up to 130˚C.

TE’s new BATTU dual wall heat shrink tubing offers flame retardancy in accordance with ISO6722, and it is UL recognized, File E85381. It is designed to reduce recovery time for faster application. It also protects cable and terminal from harsh environments with an adhesive lining that bonds to a wide variety of materials. The withstands operating temperatures up to 130˚C and provides moisture-resistance. It is designed to insulate and protect the power cable to terminal interface, and help lower applied costs.
