Question 1.) Kindly introduce your YuDash to our reader, what are the IoT solutions you provide to your clients ?
YuDash is an Industrial IoT product company offering IoT gateways & data loggers Our products are being successfully in emission compliance, water infrastructure, smart building, weather monitoring, energy conservation and Industry 4.0. We also offer domain agnostic end-to-end IoT solution, comprising of YuDash IoT SaaS platform along with IoT edge devices. Various industrial assets like Water treatment plants, steel furnaces, HVAC systems, Oxygen plants, industrial UPS systems are being monitored by YuDash IoT solutions across India abroad.
YuDash has created a niche as a reliable IoT ODM (Original Device Manufacturer) in Indian/global marketplace in last 4 years of existence.We are based in Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR) and work with various system integrations
Question 2.) How are you implementing the concept of “Zero to one” entrepreneurship in your company ?
Our company name YuDash is combination of symbols Yu (“u” or 1) and Dash (“-“ or 0). The name is inspired by great Indian mathematician Acharya Pingalawho first described binary system in his text Chandrashastra way back in 2nd century BC. With this background, we follow Zero to One approach in almost everything we do. It not only includes being IoT and digitization partner for our customers, but also in product and people development.
Most of new product ideas and innovations have come from our team members and their learning from the customers. I thank and appreciate YuDash team for their dedication and hard work and our esteemed clients for their valuable feedback. Both the aspects are critical for a successful entrepreneurship venture.
Question 3.) Your motto is, Made in India. Made for the World. How are you moving in that direction ?
There are three steps to this roadmap. First and foremost, Make in India: In many cases, like EMS, only manufacturing/assembly happens in India, but all IP and value additions are owned by foreign OEM. I believe that “Make in India” is much beyond this. All IoT YuDash products are designed, developed, and manufactured in India.
Secondly, Make for India. More than 2000+ YuDash products are successfully deployed across private and government projects. It includes CPCB (Pollution compliance), Jal Jeevan projects, Indian Railways, HPCL. We were fortunate to have YuDash IoT solutions deployed at Mahakumbh! YuDash products have acted as import substitute, reducing imports and from EU, US and China.
Lastly, “Make For The World”. We target to be first global IoT OEM brand from India and made good progress in this direction. We have initial customers in USA, EU/UK, Middle East, Africas, South East Asia, South America, and Australia. Effectively, YuDash product has landed in allcontinents in the world. We continuous investing in international exhibitions, product certifications and building global partnerships. We are already IoT edge partner to 10+ global and Indian IoT SaaS companies, including popular platforms like Thingsboard, Tago and Zoho.
Though, very small at present, we have contributed to Indian economy and US$ forex reserve by reduced imports and export of goods/services.
Question 4.) Please elaborate on the Industrial IoT Gateways & Data Loggers you provide.
YuDash has a niche product portfolio of IoT gateways and data loggers. The product series are coined as LYNX, ZENYX, FELYX and Yureca for various applications. Our products have flexible internet options of of 4G/LTE SIM, Ethernet, and WiFi. We are entering Lorawan market shortly. For field connectivity, we support most of protocols (like Modbus, TCP/IP, analog inputs) to connect with industrial instruments/PLCs and water/air analyzers. YuDash devices supports FTP, MQTT and HTTPs cloud server and has a library of large set of payload formats.
Many times, we receive appreciation from our customers for flexibility, simplicity, and ease of use of the products. This is backed by our detailed documentation and prompt support by team.
Question 5.) What are your expectations from the Indian government as a Startup ?
I sincerely appreciate all the efforts by Indian government for startups. YuDash is DPITT registered with startupindia and part of startinUP. Being part of various initiatives of various Govt/B2B/B2G bodies like CDOT, CII and ESC has helped us exposure to networking, business opportunities. I believe there is a scope of improvement towards ease of doing business. For example, exportof products (or component import) is still quite cumbersome. Uncertainty and complications in US$ remittances, customs clearances, and subsequent GST filings create many hurdles and sleepless nights for bootstrap founders and management team.
