Techmezine: Kindly share about Sahasra’s journey so far, what have been the key achievements and focus?
Saharsa has been one of the most successful and fastest growing electronics companies in India. The Group comprises of 6 businesses providing end to end electronic solution from designing to manufacturing to distribution.
Success is a journey, not a destination, and with a journey of over 24+ years in the Electronics manufacturing space with 6 State of the Art Manufacturing Facilities, today Sahasra prides itself in having established its footprints in India, Europe, Africa as well as North America.
The group has an Inhouse PCB Fabrication Facility which helps in meeting captive demand as well as serving other EMS and OEM companies and gives Sahasra a unique edge as it is the only company to offer PCB fabrication and EMS services under 1 roof thereby helping customers get to the market faster.
The company is providing solutions for the lighting industry by designing ready to use OEM solutions; Sahasra Rwanda is the leading LED lighting company in Rwanda with more than 70% market share and has been serving the African market for 12 years now.
Group is actively manufacturing and serving on Memory Product Solutions in India as well as in Export Market tovarious leading brands Amazon Basics, Flipkart, DIGIKEY, Lapcare etc. &through all channels such as E-COMM, B2G, B2C, B2B all.
The company is aggressively expanding its manufacturing operations in the IT Hardware (Servers, Laptops, Tablets) segment, so that high tech manufacturing solutions can be brought to the company as well as in Country through technology transfers, and we can truly fulfil India’s Make in India dream.
As Manufacturing Organization we are fully focussed to increase Made In India Content through all best possible ways by which Sahasra can be able to serve MII Products around the Globe & support by generating possible Employment in India. Sahasra has taken initiative by investing in R&D for various product categories where India can lead in term’s of Design & Manufacturing both.
We do consider our Initiative in Semiconductor Packaging (ATMP & OSAT) as achievement for us as well as for India, We were one and first who initiated by investing and Infrastructure development in Bhiwadi Rajasthan from 2020 onwards, and as output of this initiative now we are the one operational unit for ATMP & OSAT in India.
Techmezine : India is aiming big with “Make in India”, how are you contributing to this dream?
Sahasra is already known as True Make In India Supporter as well as contributor within India as well as for other countries too. From 2017 onwards after Joint Venture with MiTAC Taiwan to Initiate first time Manufacturing of Server Motherboards (L6) In India till now we are fully committed on both segments Memory/Storage Solutions & IT Hardware that we will serve by manufacturing of only Products which will be truly MII.

- FY 21-22, Consumer and Enterprise Grade SSD’s
- FY 22-23, H610 Desktop Motherboards
- FY 23-24, DDR Memory Modules

Techmezine : Can you elaborate more on Desktop Motherboards (H610 & Q670)?
Till 2022, India was almost dependent on imports for motherboards. “So far, we have been doing screwdriver assembly in the PC industry so designing& manufacturing of Desktop motherboards in India would definitely be a big step in local value addition.
After having enough expertise on Memory Product (MII- SSD’s & DDR) Manufacturing, Sahasra has started work closely with all Indian Local OEM’s who are facing challenges to get Actual MII Content (Motherboards) for Desktop Supply in GeM (Govt. Department), Still after 10 Years of Make In India Initiative more than 80% Motherboards are getting imported by various Indian or India based brands and as well as SI’s.
Accordingly,To overcome this challenge we have taken Initiative & started serving as First and Leading Manufacturer of Desktop Motherboards in India. Currently we are manufacturing 2 SKU’s (H610 & Q670) which are majorly getting used by all SI’s to build good and high-Quality Desktops systems specially for GeM (Govt. Supplies).
Now after successful completion of 3 years of Approx. we can proudly say that we serve to Approx. 80% of Govt. Market (Departments Requirement’s) with high standards and quality products.
As Sahasra is committed for Make In India, With Investment in R&D specially for IT Hardware (Design & Development of Motherboards) shows seriousness of Management towards MII and India’s growth not only in Manufacturing for Design & Development also.
Techmezine : What does the road ahead look like? What are your goals for 2025?
As explained Sahasra always believe in long term and full Solution plans for any of his partner organization by investing in New Technology, Design & Innovations, accordingly we are having Roadmaps and Goals for 2025 in few segments:
- Memory & Storage: Coming up with MII M.2 NVMe PCIe Internal SSD Gen4*4 (3 Months) & DDR5 (Memory Module in next 6 Months)
- Desktop Solutions: After Memory, Storage, Motherboards to Increase more MII Content Sahasra is planning to come up with MII Power Supply also in Electronics Domain specially for Desktops.
- Server Solutions (L10): After successful presence and feedback from market for L6 (Server Motherboards), Sahasra is fully equipped and ready to serve in full Server Solutions L10 (Data Centres)
- Mobile/Telecom Accessories: Power Adaptors, Data Cables, Routers, Switches etc
- IC Packaging: LED Driver IC Packaging
