Mangalayan has sent images taken by Mars Colour Camera (MCC) of Mars’ Valles Marineris, the largest canyon system in the solar system. Mangalayan is India’s Mars Orbiter mission to conduct research and collect information about the planet.

The 3-D images show Ophir Chasma (an elongate, steep-sided depression) terrain, part of the Valles Marineris. From India alone, there are five other spacecrafts orbiting the planet. Techniques have been designed to avoid the collision of the spacecrafts.
