Auto majors like Hyundai, Ford , and Renault have been suspending operations at their manufacturing plants in Chennaio due to floods all around. A hyundai spokesperson said that ” We have suspended three shifts , one last night and the two for today due to heavy rain and flood.” he added that the company will be resuming the operations once the rain and flood comes down as per the forecasting.
Hyundai Chennai plant can produce 6.8 lakh vehicles annually as per its capacity. Due to heavy rains the results have been significantly seen in areas and on roads. for the safety of their employees they have taken this step and halted the production. The company will be returning to the schedule once they monitoring that every thing is coming to its original position.
