Maruti is going to vote on its Gujarat Plant on November 16. Finally it is going to go ahead with its much awaited and delayed minority stakeholders voting to invest in plant in Gujarat. The board of Directors have received a yes nod from the stakeholders through a postal online ballot system. R C Bhargava is the Chairman of Maruti Suzuki India he said ” The voting with minority stakeholder on the final count of gujarat plant will commence on November 16 , that will be kept open for approx 30 days.”
The results of the voting will be henceforth announced on December 17. Company has already begin its road show to reach to the investors, taking up round meetings in Mumbai and Singapore. In hong Kong this will held on November 2-3 and in UK on November 5-6. Bhargava said everything has received a positive and clear nod from the regulatory agencies and there is nothing pending now to delay the decision more. Initially it was planned that the Gujarat plant will be made operational from May 2017 but possibly due to the delay it would be shifted a few months earlier.
