The German automaker has recently clarified that the recall is just for the EA189 engine vehicles that was announced by the Volkswagen AG in the European markets. This was the Volkswagen biggest recall ever in India. It has also denied the government findings that the cars were not equipped with Defeat Device. . On Monday the German car manufacturer has announced the recall of 3.23 lakh cars which were manufactured between 2008 and 2015.
This 2.0 litre diesel engine will be getting a software update and i te 1.5 litre and 1.6 litre a flow transformer will be added to have a air mass sensor, accordingly software updates will also be performed hence forth.
According to the findings the evacuations that has been taken up by the Volkswagen Group India under the proper guideline of ARAI to test the cars of brand volkswagen , SKODA and AUDI are not violating the BS IV emission norms .
