New solutions by JBC Tools.

JBC Tools is a leading European manufacturer of soldering equipment for applications which require precision and reliability: servicing of precision electronic equipment, production lines, universities, prototyping laboratories. TME catalogue already includes a number of products from JBC Tools, and we are constantly working on extending our product portfolio. Below, you will find a description of the latest solutions from JBC Tools which have been recently introduced to our catalogue. This range is available directly from our warehouses, which ensures the shortest possible delivery times.

JBC-CA-2QF soldering station

The 130W JBC-CA-2QF station features the JBC-AP250-A soldering gun with a solder feeder located on the handle. This is just one of the many conveniences that ensure efficient operation of the unit. The base station features an LCD and a control panel for adjusting the temperature and navigating the menu. Available options of the device include automatic sleep and shutdown after a programmed period of inactivity, as well as locking the station’s operation with a PIN code. The temperature control range is 90°C to 450°C. This allows the station to work with both leaded and lead-free solders, which makes it a perfect solution for industrial applications. The device has a built-in container for a solder cleaning wiper, as well as a storage area for spare soldering tips and a soldering gun cable collector.

The station also features a USB connection, which serves two purposes – you can use it to update the software or to connect multiple devices (via a USB HUB) to a control computer. Thanks to this, you can monitor the operation and status of several JBC devices simultaneously using the JBC Web Manager application.

The main difference between the JBC-CD-2BQF station and the previously discussed model is the type of the soldering iron included. In this case, it is an ergonomic JBC-T245-A soldering handle. Its weight does not exceed 115g. The device is suitable for mounting of both SMD and THT components. As in the case of all products described here, the heater is located in the tip. The tips are not included in the set, but you can find a wide selection of soldering tips in the TME catalogue.

Another JBC product with similar capabilities and functionality, also equipped with a soldering handle, is the JBC-CD-2SQF station. It is characterised by lower power (40W), which is perfect for soldering smaller SMD components. This will be especially important in workshops, where numerous devices are operated at the same time.

Repairing circuits with JBC Tools stations

TME also offers two stations designed for repair work and prototyping. Although the functionality of the station itself does not differ from the capabilities described above, other tools are included in the sets.

In the case of the JBC-CP-2QF, these are microtweezers accommodating two standard soldering tips. Using such a tip, it is possible to heat a component (mostly SMD ones) from both sides simultaneously, as well as to remove it from the PCB. This will be useful especially when replacing the smallest components which fail relatively often, such as capacitors. Moreover, with the use of appropriately shaped tips, it is also possible to disassemble other, more complex circuits with terminals located on the opposite sides of the case (transistors, voltage regulators, small ICs in SOP cases, etc.).

The other station designed for disassembly (repair) of circuits is the JBC-CS-2F model. It is an example of a professional desoldering station designed for continuous, ergonomic work, especially for replacing components in printed circuits. In addition to the base station, the product is equipped with a solder pump, a vacuum module (which can be placed under the station), as well as additional solder containers and cleaning tools. A set of solder pump tips with different diameters and additional air filters mounted in the suction module are also included.

The last, but not least, of the new devices by JBC Tools available from TME is the JBC-JNASE-2A station. This is a high-end solution for repairing precision electronics (e.g. chips in smartphones, PCs, IoT devices, etc.). It features digital temperature and airflow control, as well as a number of safety features (auto shutdown, pin code lock). A thermocouple connector allows you to connect a thermal probe, so the station can monitor the temperature of the component being soldered to prevent overheating. The JBC-JNASE-2A also features a vacuum gripper to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of small SMD components.

It should also be noted that in most of the soldering irons listed here (including hot air stations), JBC Tools has incorporated a convenient tip and nozzle replacement system. This is possible even without cooling them down. You can do this with one hand, using a special handle – as demonstrated in the video below.
