University of Washington, developed a high tech wrist band called Magnifisense. Unlike other sensors it does not logs the number of steps or calories burnt rather it keeps the record of number of electronics appliances and there respective power consumption done by a person. It captures the electronic radiations the devices generate and also keeps track of 12 different devices at a time like laptop, lamps, cars etc.
they are further trying to make the model more compact that could be fitted in the wrist bands , watches so that it could become highly portable. This sensor could be helpful in case where a nurse turns on a device for check up , the other attendant can come in and check if he thinks the user forgot to turn off the device or has wrongly switched on it, or has left any stove on that could explode.
